I am ecstatic that you have landed on this site and are taking time out of your life to read my words and follow along with my creative life! This blog is the culmination of several goals over the past decade. Welcome to the beginning of something wonderful!
For any newbies, my name is Kat, and I have affectionately dubbed myself The Fashion Passionista! I am a late twenties, hot mess mama and wife from the middle of nowhere, Ohio. I was born, raised, and live in the same small village on the Ohio-Indiana border, aside from spending my early twenties working on an undergraduate degree in Muncie, Indiana at Ball U. Just kidding, only the bookstore t-shirts said that. It’s really called Ball State University. I received a Bachelor’s of Music Performance, and ever since I have been piecing together a living working a random assortment of jobs within the field of fine arts and retail. 
To give you a taste of my life, I am a flute and piccolo player, a vocalist, a dancer and color guard instructor, a jewelry designer and creator, boutique owner and personal stylist. I am the youngest of four children, a wife to my high school sweetheart, and a mother of an ornery toddler boy. I am hella passionate about all things fashion and everyday styling, DIY and home decorating, reading self-help books and BH&G and HGTV magazine, sticking tons of stickers in my planners and creating reasons to make to-do lists, and binging on guilty pleasure shows and movies on Hulu and Netflix.

- Never have I ever had the chickenpox. Surprise!
- My pinky toes have NO toenails. For real. They’re like teeny tiny rocks, and that’s it.
- I have a small scar on my bottom lip from running into the tail of an airplane – long story. Let’s save it for another time.
- I enjoy creating bucket lists for each season of the year.
- I once won first prize in a poetry contest sponsored by a local college. Writing is a sometimes forgotten passion of mine.
- I love succulents, and have a difficult time keeping any other plant alive.
- I am NOT a good swimmer. If I can’t touch “the bottom” without my head sticking out above the water, I’m outie.
- I am very observant, as I enjoy people watching in any given setting.
- I like my cars more than I like some people.
- I was first a cat person, but I have gone to the dark side and been converted to a dog person.
Thank you again for joining me on this new adventure of mine. I truly aspire to inspire others to creatively live their life to the fullest. My hope is that you will continue to follow my blog and gain some form of inspiration – whatever is most applicable to your lifestyle.
